MaTYSSE((MaTYSSE stands for: **Ma**gnetic **T**opologies of **Y**oung **S**tars & the **S**urvival of close-in massive **E**xoplanets)) is a Large observing Program carried out with the spectropolarimeters ESPaDOnS@CFHT, NARVAL@TBL and HARPS-Pol@ESO, and complemented with photometric observations. It addresses major unsolved issues regarding the formation of Sun-like stars and their planetary systems, and in particular about the strong impact of magnetic fields on these initial steps so critical for our understanding of the early life of a star like our Sun.
